Falke Pisano at Badischer Kunstverein

Badischer Kunstverein in Karlsruhe (Germany) presents The value in mathematics — How do we learn?, an exhibition by Falke Pisan, winner Prix de Rome 2013.The exhibition is a continuation from Pisano’s project about the relationship between culture and mathematics. Pisano started this longterm project during a working period at the American Academy in Rome, part of the Prix de Rome Award. In addition to a new film , the show will include a sculptural intervention by the Swiss artist Luca Frei, a series of readings by the British typographer Will Holder as well as a programme of talks about accountability in artistic practice, modes of learning and the challenge of multiplicity.

Other work from the series ‘The value in mathematics’ is on show at the group exhibition ‘Putting Rehearsels to the Test’ at The Leonard & Bina Ellen Art Gallery in Montréal.
