Publication Prix de Rome 2021
The 2021 Prix de Rome is accompanied by a publication, published by Jap Sam Books, in cooperation with Mondriaan Fund. The artists are introduced by the authors Dagmar Dirkx and Esmee Postma. An introductory essay is written by Rein Wolfs (director Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam).

Exhibition Prix de Rome 2021 at Stedelijk Museum extended
Until 24 April 2022 the Stedelijk Museum will host the exhibition Prix de Rome 2021. The nominated artists, Mercedes Azpilicueta, Alexis Blake, Silvia Martes and Coralie Vogelaar, have developed new work especially for this occasion. In april 2021 these artist were selected by the international jury, after which they made new work during a working period of five months. read more

Exhibition Prix de Rome at Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam
From November 13, the exhibition Prix de Rome Visual Arts 2021 can be seen in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. The nominated artists Mercedes Azpilicueta, Alexis Blake, Silvia Martes and Coralie Vogelaar have created new works especially for the Prix de Rome. Two weeks later, on Tuesday November 30th, the winner of the prize is set to be announced. read more

Shortlist Prix de Rome Visual Arts 2021 announced
The international jury of the Prix de Rome has selected four artists for the shortlist of the Prix de Rome Visual Arts 2021. The nominees are: Mercedes Azpilicueta, Alexis Blake, Silvia Martes and Coralie Vogelaar. This was announced by the Mondriaan Fund, which organises and finances the Prix de Rome award.
The jury made its selection from a list of 217 artists who applied for the award. read more

Prix de Rome 2021 jury members announced
The new competition for the Prix de Rome, the incentive award for talented artists under the age of 40, begins on 5 January, 2021. Artists who meet the conditions can then respond to an open call to apply. An international jury will select a shortlist from these applications, and ultimately a winner, whose award will include a cash amount of 40,000 Euros. read more
